Is Your Colon Healthy?

Is your Colon Healthy? March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month and colon health requires proper diet and elimination. A healthy colon is essential for optimal health and well-being.

For whole body wellness we all know of the importance of colon health. This issue is at the forefront of world-wide concern with the ongoing rise of bowel disease. One of these diseases is colon cancer and March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness month.

Research has found a diet rich in fiber, grains, fresh vegetables and fruit is an essential factor for colon health. Colon cancer is more prevalent in the western world and is on the increase in countries who have adopted western diets.

Some early warning signs of this disease may include rectal bleeding, blood in the stool, alternating constipation and diarrhea, narrow stools, a feeling that elimination is not complete, bowel cramping, and unexplained weight loss.

A question to ask is what constitutes proper elimination? Considerations for proper elimination include frequency, size, texture, color, odor, ease of movement and the presence of cramping. Regular elimination of the large intestine is important so toxins and wastes do not accumulate in the body. An unnecessary accumulation of this waste may cause imbalance and lead to illness.

Colon Clear and Gentle Pathway are two Energetix products that contain herbs which have been used clinically to gently stimulate the regulation of optimal elimination and colon function. Consult with your local Energetix Practitioner about how to improve the overall health of your bowels today.

  1. After working with autism and chronic health problems I think many disease processes begin in the GI tract. BM’s have been highly under rated! We shoot for 2-3 per day and when that happens and healing begins patients improve. The health of the GI tract greatly impacts immunity, sleep, vitamin production, toxin / waste removal and digestion. I much prefer the use of the natural agents for working on constipation and diarrhea.
Recently I had a 5 year old who was on 3 different agents (stimulants, cathartics) from her GI and still only having BM’s every 7 days. After loading with probiotics and digestive enzymes she was off her meds and having BM’s every 2-3 days. We have are now adding further agents to improve further. She is needless to say feeling much better.
    Yeah!
