Recently Energetix launched a new product, one all of us have been very excited about. It’s called Phyto-B Complex. Of course there are lots of B-Complex vitamin supplements on the market, but this one stands out for its absorbability and multi-forms of B vitamins.
Now, having highly assimilable B vitamins can be a huge boost to virtually anyone’s health, but there is something else that makes this product unique and intriguing. The formulation exists in a base of Rhodiola rosea, one of the most remarkable plant substances to come to light in recent decades.
Rhodiola rosea is considered a second-generation adaptogen. Adaptogens are substances that exert a wide range of helpful influences to counteract stress-based conditions, low energy, compromised endurance and disrupted sleep rhythms. Adaptogens often work, in part, by stimulating immune response and supporting the central nervous system. Various Energetix products could be classified as adaptogens, having a wide variety of applications, but this one stands out for its breadth of qualities.
Rhodiola rosea (“Golden Root” or “Rose Root”) is reputed to do all of what adaptogens do with virtually no evident toxicity or undesirable side effects, unlike certain other adaptogenic substances. No wonder it has stimulated so much in the way of research and discussion! Various studies1 have shown effectiveness in:
- Boosting stamina and endurance
- Helping to restore mental alertness or wakefulness when experiencing fatigue or drowsiness
- Supporting the immune system
- Improving absentmindedness
- Assisting with neurotransmitter levels and central nervous system activity
- Maintaining a normal cholesterol level
- Relieving occasional sleeplessness
- Increasing sexual desire and performance
- Maintaining healthy lung function
- Reducing depression/anxiety
- Relieving occasional headaches
- Supporting the normal metabolism of carbohydrates and fats
You can see why there has been such an active buzz about this Russian plant extract! If you’re interested to discover more in the way of detail and research, just search for “Rhodiola rosea research” and you’ll find plenty to fill out what I’ve summarized here.
To recap, it appears that Rhodiola rosea is an anti-stress boon. Given the levels of stress most of us live under, including practitioners, here is a product that could be well worth adding to your daily routine.
